In the area of World Issues, we’ve been studying the water cycle. In order to see how the water cycle process works we’ve done an experiment in the classroom.

We’ve poured hot water into a large glass bowl and place a smaller bowl in the centre (we had to be very careful so as not to splash any water into the small  bowl!) Then, we’ve covered the top of the large bowl tightly with a plastic wrap and put some cubes of ice on top. After some minutes, we saw that the hot water from the “ocean” in the large bowl had evaporated. It condensed to form “clouds” (small drops of water) on the  plastic wrap. When these “clouds” became larger, it “rained” into the small bowl!
